For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.

The Holy Spirit reminds us of our identity in Christ. It is God’s Spirit in us who whispers to our hearts – often in moments in which we are tempted to question or doubt – that we are God’s children, beloved and approved of the Father. He will remind us that we are righteous independent of our performance as a result of our faith in Jesus.
