And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

When we place our faith in Jesus, the Holy Spirit pours out the love of God in our hearts. It is God’s love in us that enables us to walk in love; and out of this love flows our confident expectation that we will continue to see God’s goodness in every area of our lives.
