According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2 Peter 1:3 (KJV)

Jesus, through His finished work on the cross, has already made available all things that pertain to life and godliness. And so we need never to struggle and perform to try and get things from God; much rather can we continue to look to Jesus with a confident expectation and assurance that comes out of our intimate relationship with Him. This is how we position ourselves to seeing the manifestations of His finished works showing up in the various areas of our lives.
