And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 5:5 (KJV)
The love of God has been deposited in our hearts through the Holy Spirit dwelling on the inside of us. The more we realize the magnitude of God’s love—even to the point of sending His Son to die on a cross for us—we cannot help but become vessels through which His love can flow to others!
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2 Peter 1:3 (KJV)
Jesus, through His finished works, has already made available to us everything we will ever need—all things pertaining to life and godliness. And so anytime a difficulty or a challenge arises, let us declare boldly that Jesus has already taken care of it. One of the highest ways we can exercise our faith is to believe that, no matter how it may seem in the natural, because we are in Christ we have all things that pertain to life and godliness.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
James 1:5 (NKJV)
Wisdom is the ability to use knowledge rightly. It is a grace gift from God and it is freely available to us. Trust today that with the Holy Spirit’s help you will know what to do at all times as you walk in God’s perfect will for your life.
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands.
Psalm 143:5 (NKJV)
It is powerful to bring to our remembrance all that God has already done. When we meditate on how good God has been to us in the past, it raises our expectation for the future. Let’s never take for granted how far He has brought us, and rejoice in anticipation of the good that is to come!
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
Romans 1:5 (KJV)
Obedience in the new covenant is obedience to the faith. Rather than trying to live by the law, our obedience is our commitment to right believing. We are obedient when we believe what God says about us which enables the Holy Spirit to work on the inside of us, shaping us more fully into who God has called us to be.
