Lord, You will establish peace for us, For You have also done all our works in us.
Isaiah 26:12 (NKJV)
The more we can trust in God’s Spirit working in us, the more will we find ourselves at peace. We come to find that in all we are called to do, it is really God working in us—always in proportion to our faith—who enables us to walk in victory and to live the overcoming life.
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psalm 34:8 (KJV)
We taste and come to know the goodness of God through our intimate fellowship with Him. The more time we spend in His presence through worship, prayer, praise and His Word, the more do we find that we can trust God with all of the areas of our lives. And out from this trust is birthed a life that leads from victory to victory.
Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:4-5 (KJV)
We open ourselves to wisdom from above when we make it our practice to pause and seek the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit in all things. When we no longer insist on our own ways, but instead listen for the still small voice, He will take us to places of breakthrough we could have never reached on our own.
And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud.
Exodus 16:10 (KJV)
Anytime we find ourselves looking toward the wilderness—facing situations and circumstances to which we do not know the answer—let us be expectant that the glory of God will appear in the midst of it! Those moments where it seems like there’s no solution in the natural are in actuality the greatest opportunities for God to show up and manifest His power in our lives.
For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV)
We are vessels through which the glory of God is to show up in this earth. All of the promises of God have been made available in Christ, and as they manifest in and through our lives God is glorified. And so let us be assured that our heavenly Father delights Himself in showing forth His goodness in our lives, and let us walk in an attitude of praise, gratitude and expectancy!
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 12:28 (KJV)
Jesus gives us rest because when we enter into Christ, we enter into a finished work. The moment we put our faith in Jesus as Lord of our lives, all things pertaining to life and godliness are made available to us. Our task is not to struggle and to work hard to try and get God to bless us, but to live each day open and receptive for the blessings we already have in Him to manifest in our lives.
