How Grace Teaches Us (Titus 2:11-12)

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Titus 2:11-12 (KJV)

The grace of God that brings salvation is Jesus. And the way Grace teaches us is by being alive on the inside of us the moment we believe. As we look to Jesus, His Holy Spirit will go to work in us, enabling us to live out of who He has called us to be.

The Grace Of God In Truth (Colossians 1:6)

which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

Colossians 1:6 (NKJV)

The grace of God in truth is Jesus. We can never separate Jesus and grace. Our hearts are transformed as we look to Jesus and believe that as a result of His finished works we have been made one hundred percent righteous. Everything for us in this new covenant begins and ends with Jesus.

Think The Thoughts Of God (Isaiah 55:8-9)

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV)

One of the most powerful things for us to do is to replace our thoughts with the thoughts of God. The thoughts of God are the Word of God, and so our task becomes to get our thinking lined up with the truth of God’s Word. The more we think according to the Word, the more will our lives reflect who we are in Christ.

The grace of God in truth is Jesus. We can never separate Jesus and the grace of God. Our hearts are transformed as we look to Jesus, and believe that as a result of His finished works we have been declared righteous. Knowing Jesus is not a matter of memorizing a set of principles; knowing Jesus it is a matter of the heart. Grace cannot be understood merely with the mind; grace must be known in the heart.

The grace of God that brings salvation is Jesus. And the way grace teaches us is by being alive on the inside of us, molding and shaping us from the inside out. The more we look to Jesus, the more His Holy Spirit works in us, enabling us to live out of who He has called us to be. Grace transforms our hearts, and a transformed heart will always result in a transformed life.
