Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;
Psalm 106:4 (KJV)
When we receive salvation through placing our faith in the finished works of Jesus, we enter into the unmerited favor of God. This means that the blessing is on our lives, not because of our works or our efforts, but because of our faith and trust in Jesus.
I’ll put my Spirit in you and make it possible for you to do what I tell you and live by my commands.
Ezekiel 36:27 (MSG)
This is the power of grace at work in us, and it lifts the pressure off of our shoulders. Our trust and dependence are upon God’s Spirit working in us through His Word, transforming us, giving us the faith we need, and empowering us to become all He has created us to be.
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
Romans 8:16 (NKJV)
The Holy Spirit bears witness of our identity in Christ. He continually whispers into our hearts that we are children of God, that we have His favor and blessing. The more we listen to the Holy Spirit who will confirm the Word of God, the less receptive will we be to the voices of fear, doubt, confusion or condemnation. Let us spend some time every day with the Holy Spirit as He guides us into all truth.
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
There is a supernatural strength and ability available to us when we place all our trust, expectation and confidence in God. When we look to Jesus in all things, He enables us to do what we could not do on our own, and He will cause us to flourish and succeed in all He has called us to do.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalm 16:11 (KJV)
Getting in the presence of God through His Word, worship, praise, prayer and simply talking with Him, takes us to a place of joy that is independent of any circumstances. Out of this fellowship with God that is available to all will come wisdom and revelation to guide us on the path of life.
But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
1 Thessalonians 4:9 (KJV)
God indwelling us by His Holy Spirit compels us to want to love one another. As we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit who is at work in us, we will find ourselves being led more fully into living a life of love, kindness and compassion as we receive God’s love for us in Christ.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)
The more we behold Jesus through the Word, the more are we transformed into His image and likeness. As we seek His will in all of the areas of our life, we will find ourselves being led from glory to glory through the wisdom and counsel of the Holy Spirit.
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
Psalm 68:19 (KJV)
We can expect to be loaded with the benefits of salvation every day. In Christ God’s unmerited favor has been made available to us, and so we can always live in confident expectation that something good is going to happen regardless of any circumstances or conditions. The benefits of salvation include healing, deliverance, peace of mind and heart, and all of our needs being supplied abundantly.
