Thanksgiving As A Way Of Life (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)

When we give God thanks in all things, thanksgiving has become our way of life. We give thanks that, no matter how things appear in the natural, Jesus through His finished work has already provided the solution. Gratitude and thanksgiving now shift our perspective and place us into a position of being able to receive the goodness of God that has already been made available. Let’s remember that as believers we are called to live a lifestyle of thanksgiving.

The Power Of Being Thankful (Psalm 100:4)

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100:4 (KJV)

When we realize that there is always something to thank God for, we will naturally find ourselves giving Him praise. Even in the midst of a challenge or a difficult time, we can thank God that He has already provided the way out. When we know our God and His goodness, we really cannot help but be thankful.

The Power Of A Thankful Heart (Psalm 100:4)

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100:4 (KJV)

We are called to practice thanksgiving as a way of life. When we realize that there is always something to thank God for, we will naturally find ourselves giving Him the praise that is due to His name. Even in the midst of a challenge or a difficult time, we can thank God that He has already provided for us the way out. Friend, when we know our God and His goodness, we really cannot help but be thankful. And so let us rejoice today that there is enormous power in always having a thankful heart!

Offer The Sacrifice Of Praise (Hebrews 13:15)

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Hebrews 13:15 (KJV)

Offering the sacrifice of praise is to praise God regardless of whether or not we feel like it in our emotions. We do not live by our emotions, but take charge over them by continually giving thanks to God for His goodness and His favor in our lives.

Praise & Thanksgiving (Psalm 100:4)

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Psalm 100:4 (KJV)

Nothing puts us more quickly into the presence of God than praise and thanksgiving. We can praise God at any time throughout the day, and we can train ourselves to always maintain a grateful heart towards Him. Let us remember that we serve a God who is worthy of all praise, and may we never take His goodness towards us for granted. The more we praise Him and thank Him for all He has done, the more of His glory will we see in our lives.

Maintaining A Grateful Heart (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)

God’s will for us is that we always maintain a grateful heart. Notice that the Word says we are to give thanks in all things, not for all things. This means in all circumstances and conditions—whether they be good or bad—we can be grateful. In fact, practicing gratitude in the midst of adersity is a powerful statement of faith which says that we know that we have already been given the victory in Christ. And so whether we are on the mountaintop or in the valley, let us be thankful as we look to everything God has provided for us by His grace.

Psalm 100:4 (KJV)

This need not always be formal, for we can praise God at any time throughout the day, and we can train ourselves to always maintain a grateful heart towards Him. Let us remember that we serve a God who is worthy of all praise, and may we never take His goodness towards us for granted. The more we praise Him and thank Him for all He has done, the more of His glory will we see in our lives.
