Be Fed By His Word (1 Peter 2:2-3)

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

1 Peter 2:2-3 (KJV)

The Word of God is the spiritual food for our born again spirit. Just as we require physical food in order to be physically strengthened, so too our recreated spirit requires spiritual food in order to become strong within us. As we are fed and nourished by His Word daily, we taste of the joy and the fullness of life that is in Him.

Feed Your Recreated Spirit (Matthew 4:4)

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:4 (KJV)

We do not live by bread alone because there is more to us than our physical bodies. Just as our body requires physical food, so too our recreated spirit requires spiritual food. We are being fed spiritually anytime we receive the Word of God, when we meditate on it and take it into our hearts. The more that our spirit is fed, the stronger our spirit becomes. And when our spirit is strong, our ability to be victorious over the flesh increases.

The Word Is Spiritual Food (John 6:63)

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

John 6:63 (NKJV)

The Word is the spiritual food for our recreated spirit. With our spirit nourished and strengthened, we can stand boldly upon the Word and know that whenever the Word is mixed with faith, a manifestation must always follow.
