Keeping The Word (Luke 11:28)

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Luke 11:28 (KJV)

Keeping the Word of God means to let it take root in our hearts, to let it spill over into every area of our lives. This happens as we learn to regularly meditate on the Word, as we continuously keep it alive in our hearts. The more that the Word is alive in our hearts, the more are we receptive and available to all that God is seeking to do in and through our lives.

Hearing The Word Of God & Keeping It (Luke 11:28)

But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Luke 11:28 (KJV)

One of the most important things for us to do is to not merely hear the Word of God, but to also keep it. Keeping the Word of God means to let it take root in our hearts, to let it spill over into every area of our lives. This happens as we learn to regularly meditate on the Word, as we continuously keep it alive in our hearts. The more that the Word is alive in our hearts, the more will we find ourselves living in the spirit rather than in the flesh. This makes us more receptive and available to all that God is seeking to do in and through our lives.
