Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Romans 8:37 (KJV)
Receiving the unconditional love of God in Christ Jesus makes us more than conquerors no matter what may be coming against us. It is never our self-effort or performance, but receiving His love and mercy that sets us up for success and victory in every area of life.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27 (KJV)
We have the ability to not let our heart be troubled because Jesus has already given us the gift of His peace. We received His peace when we received Him, and we access His peace as we keep our minds and hearts filled with His Word. And so rather than allowing circumstances to dictate where our attention goes, let us purpose in our hearts to focus on the One who is our peace. We will find ourselves walking in His wisdom and guidance in any given situation.
[He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by] putting His seal upon us and giving us His [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as the security deposit and guarantee [of the fulfillment of His promise].
2 Corinthians 1:22 (AMP)
The Holy Spirit is God’s security deposit! This means it is actually the Holy Spirit’s job to guarantee that God’s purposes for our lives will come to pass. And so what is required of us is that we learn to live lives of complete dependence on Him where we no longer rely on our own efforts and performance, but we trust the unfailing working of the Spirit of grace in us.
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
Philippians 4:4 (NKJV)
There is empowerment that comes when we make the decision to rejoice in the Lord. We are not moved by circumstances because our fellowship with Jesus has become the source of our joy! When we walk in His joy we walk in His completeness, and out of this supernatural breakthroughs can take place.
For he who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.
1 Peter 3:10-11 (NKJV)
Our words come out of what is in our hearts. As we deliberately fill our hearts with God’s Word and as we allow the love of Jesus to saturate us, we will find our words coming into alignment with life and peace. Let us be mindful of the tremendous power of our tongue, and let us purpose in our hearts to speak only words of life.
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Psalm 143:10 (KJV)
God’s Spirit in us teaches us to do His will. He helps us to have a revelation of the love, the grace, and the goodness of God, which in turn empowers us to live victorious and godly lives. It is powerful to be led of the Holy Spirit into the land of uprightness.
